The Albayzin is characterized by its network of labyrinthine streets that seem to take us to another era, its carmenes (exclusive traditional houses of this neighborhood), the white and blue colors of its pottery, its famous characters (such as the famous Enrique Morente), its legends and for having the Alhambra as a background at all times. It is an area to discover on foot by its inhabitants.
The Albayzin has a huge number of historic and remarkable buildings, among which we can highlight the Palacio de los Olvidados. This building is a unique Renaissance style palace dating from the 16th century and that today is a great location to enjoy another element so typical of the neighborhood as is flamenco.
We offer a guided tour through this dreamy part of the city of Granada in which the enormous qualities of the neighborhood are revealed. The tour, on foot, leaves at 5:00 p.m. from the Plaza de Santa Ana and it lasts two hours. The experience concludes with a traditional flamenco show at the Palacio de los Olvidados. This show begins at 8:15 p.m., lasts one hour and it is not allowed to eat or drink in it.
